MARCH - APRIL 2007

Dear brethren in Christ,

We want to thank our Heavenly Father for how good he has been to us. We have traveled approximately 11,000 miles through 17 States without incident and the vehicles have held up very well. The pastors and churches have treated us so much better than we deserve. We thank you brethren for your prayers and financial support.

It has been a blessing to be with our faithful supporters who have been with us for 11 to 12 years. We have also been able to present the work in several new churches and we are thankful for the 5 new churches who have decided to labor with us for the souls of Sicily.

We had the privilege to spend time at New Beginnings Baptist Church which is the home church of Bro Jim Lassiter. Who is preparing to start his deputation to Sicily. It was an encouragement to see Bro. Jim and his family and to meet his beautiful church home and pastor Paul Ianello with his dear wife Pam. In June Bro. Jim will be ordained and charged and we have been invited to attend this special event. After this he will be kicking off his deputation. Bro. Jim and his family are excited and we are also for them. Please continue to uphold them in prayer.

Life on the road consists of visiting our churches, finding Laundromats, finding Wal-marts to buy groceries or other family needs, and of course gas stations. Every once in a while we need a diversion in the routine. Recently we were in the area of Ohio University where Janet attended years ago and so decided to spend the day there. We armed ourselves with as many gospel tracts as we could carry and then set out to pass them out and interact with the students. It was a great time and the whole family really enjoyed it. All the way down to 6 yr. old Eunice, everyone was passing out tracts to the students who were very receptive. College campuses are an unbelievable mission field. Students for the most part are very open minded and optimistic, so it is easy to talk with them. A college campus also gives you a good idea of what you can expect in the years to come, if the Lord tarries, because these are the people that will be ruling and running society. Just to give you an idea of some of the things we encountered: open and unashamed homosexuality among the students, fornication and sodomy publicized and promoted through advertisement, and Satanism (We talked at length with 3 students who were proud and bold Satanists, they were also very ignorant and slanderous of American history. They did not know the answers to even basic questions about things like the events of the pilgrims, and they called our forefathers “prudes”.) We were surprised at the number of Mormons that were “evangelizing” on the campus and I had a real good talk with a Muslim student who was interested in talking about the difference between Islam and Christianity. This is just a sampling of what we experienced on campus. For those that are looking for an opportunity and an open door to witness, college campuses are a great mission field. We are praying that the Lord will raise up Bible Believers who will take advantage of this great open door.

Regarding the ministry in Sicily, things continue to go very well. The Jordans and the Sudores are doing a great job and continue to have a good crowd at church and they also continue to reach out and evangelize. We stay in touch every few weeks and it is good to hear how they are pressing on. They have requested prayer for a man named Giovanni who has been attending services. Continue to pray for Bro. Joe as he endeavors to speak and preach in the Italian language.

We are trying to be faithful in passing out as many gospel tracts as we can when we are out and about. All of the children have gotten involved as well. Please pray for the seed that is sown, that it will bear fruit.

We would appreciate your prayers regarding our traveling, our personal health, and that we would we be a blessing as we report to all of our faithful supporting churches. Pray with us that the Lord of the harvest will continue to send forth laborers into his harvest.

We thank you brethen for your faithfulness,
