Dear Pastors and Brethren, Happy Thanksgiving in Christ Jesus our Lord!!!

At the time of this writing, we are on the last stretch of our furlough here in the New England States. Our airfare tickets have been purchased and we will be departing the U.S. on December 6, the Lord willing. Everyone is excited to return to our home and our work in Sicily. We thank our Lord Jesus Christ for the innumerable blessings that he has given to us during this past year during our furlough. By his grace and mercy we have travelled through approximately 25 States safely and without incident. We continually thank God for all the faithful pastors and their flocks that have been so gracious to us and help to carry the burden of the Sicilian people with us. God has been so good to us and while we don’t count ourselves worthy of any of it, we do thank him and praise him for his mercy and compassion.

As you move into the northeast corner of the U.S., you find a concentration of Italians which of course is a blessing to us. We’ve been able to meet and minister to people who speak Italian. While in a meeting in Manhattan I met a brother named James who asked me to meet with an older Italian man named Rosario Anania who is dying of bone cancer. Due to his hospital schedule, I was not able to meet with him until a later point when I was already up into Connecticut. The trip was definitely profitable as after hearing the gospel Rosario called upon the Lord to save him. James had done a lot of sowing but possibly just hearing it in his own language drove it home for him.

Another big blessing has been having opportunities to minister with churches in their different outreaches such as door to door, nursing homes, street work etc. Recently we went street preaching in lower Manhattan with Pastor Mike Veach and the saints of First Bible Church. We are thankful to him for providing us with a portable loud speaker that we will be able to use in Sicily. Our son Giacomo got to street preach for his first time while ministering with Road to Emmaus Baptist Church in Monaco, PA. We are thankful for Pastor James Draganac who has faithfully preached in the same spot of that small town for many many years now. Pastor James led a man to the Lord while during our stay there and a black man named Jerry was saved at the Laundromat after I explained salvation to him. At that same Laundromat, Janet talked for a long time to a college student named Nikita who had a lot of difficult questions that kept her from getting saved. We left her with several of Dr. Kent Hovind’s Creation Science DVD’s and some things to read. Pray for her salvation. We ministered twice in a veteran’s home with Bro. John Tantanella and probably the most unusual opportunity we had was to minister inside a Wal-Mart in Corry, PA. Our faithful sister Heather Edwards works as a department manager and she asked us to bring the instruments over. We were set up in the paint department and the children sang and played and I read Scripture in between the songs. Several of the employees received gospel tracts at the end. We were reminded that our resurrected Savior can walk through closed doors! These are just a few of the highlights of ministry opportunities that we have had as we have been visiting with our different supporting churches.

We do thank our Heavenly Father for several new supporting churches and individuals. Although we did not return to the U.S. to raise more support, we certainly appreciate the extra that God has provided. Most of you are aware by now of the drastic decline of the dollar against the euro. It is good to know that as perilous times continue to increase, God’s children have his promise that he will “supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:19

Our next letter will be written to you from our beloved “Sicilia”. Until then we pray that you will continue to abound in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge. We have a 34 foot travel trailer, 2007 Cougar (Keystone) 2 slides out/Polar package for sale.
